There are a few companies working with c&d as a fuel source (Intrinergy is one). The problem is in the pre burn separation of debris. Treated wood, gypsum and other contaminants need to be sorted so that a reasonably clean fuel is left. I think that to ban all c&d burning without examining the options for sorting is a bit reactionary.

I have been asked by the Orlando FD that if I have a house to do in the city limits to let them know and they would like to use it.

That's true and I have only seen a couple of those and they were decided after the bid package went out that the FD would do the work.

Closest thing I have seen is the local FD using a building scheduled for demolition as a training tool and seting it on fire...

This story got me thinking. How many states actually allow burning of demolition materials?

I don
