This summer I am involved in a number of AMAZING demolition projects that I will be documenting via video and still photography.

1) Fenton Chrysler Plant Site Reclamation near St. Louis, Missouri
Phase 2 of the Minivan Plant Demolition for MCM.

2) Chelsea Street Bridge Demolition, Chelsea, MA
An 85 year old bascule bridge across a major fuel tanker shipping lane to be removed in a 72 hour window for JFWhite and Testa.

3) The Fast 14 Bridge replacement project.
I-93 outside of Boston.
The complete demolition and replacement of 14 Interstate Highway Bridges in 12 weekends from June til September.
Steel and precast, cross overs and preliminary road changes are in the works. A 55 hour window from Friday til Monday to close road and redirect traffic, wreck old, place new beams, pour connections, re open road by 5 AM. 6 years of projects compressed into 2 1/2 months. The pace here will be insane. Live multicamera Earthcam video, timelapse, and still photography. For JFWhite/Kiewit, Testa, Saugus Construction.

Wolfie, I'm going to Athens, Greece to shoot another building there. It's real tight too! I'm also going to trip a steel building in New York. Today I also received a contract to shoot the old Bellaire Bridge. I'll send pics if needed:)

That's a pretty impressive list. Need a photographer to travel with you to document your history making events around the world?

DemoPho, I've had TLC in my house, vehicle and just about everywhere else for 4 months. Another photographer/video/production guy will rattle this old mans cage. If AED gets picked up for a second season, well, I'll have no room in my truck;)

If you like implosions...I got a bunch! I have been blessed with a 30 story in West Palm, bridge in Ohio, building in Greece, 1 in India (ugh) and probably 4 smaller jobs.

Has the market in Michigan picked up at all? I saw they are doing the Lafayette Building in downtown Detroit. That's ADAMO isn't it? Was that a Mike Iiltch deal too?

I was discussing the rapid exodus from Michigan with the EDC guy from Wayne County. That exodus is what hurt Michigan the most. He was expecting a rapid growth in Mich in 2 years

I wish that I could say that we are banging them out but, there is just nothing going on. This is the first time that I have really and truly put some serious thought into leaving Michigan. One of the problems is... How to sell my house? My next door neighbor had his on the market for ten months and even dropped the price $20,000.... Still not even a look. I REALLY hope things start to turn around.

Looking for really big demolitions/implosions for a NOVA documentary on material science, preferably in the Las Vegas area, but anywhere in the US works. Any help would be appreciated!

None planned ... but have done lots of demo next inside an aircraft plant.... foundation demo is a pita..... mostly use a 200 deere with hammer.... barely enough room to spin machine.... the last one I did was setting in between a couple machines that cost 25 million a piece..... The area was enclosed by plastic.... The demo took about 3 month due to the limited hours of work.. 11pm-5am... the concrete was a very old and hard type used in the 40's and 50's, it's very very hard... plus the fact the top had 2'' rebar in it on about 2'' centers... It was elevated 4' above ground and 8' below the ground, which meant I had to work the all top off, then start at the back to start the bottom removal... lots of changing of bucket and hammer...
I would load maybe 3 or 4 truck a night. The total area was about 40 x 100.. I wish I had pics but none are allowed... they sometimes take cell phones at the gate

I got an partial stadium demolition that I am getting ready to do on Monday. Part of the stadium has a large sink hole underneath of it and started to collapse. So we are cutting out a section and also completing the underpinning, deep excavation and salvage of 3 historical concrete walls. should be completed in 45 working days.
