Breeze is a pretty gutsy company. They have done some things that many other demo guys wouldn't dare to do. I have met Toby, Jr. and he is a great guy--really willing to help out and he knows his stuff too. Do you think they will be the ones who get to demo Yankee Stadium? They ran into some problems with the job at Atlantic Yards when they demo'ed some old Civil War era buildings that weren't supposed to come down.

Testa Corp site development excavation demolition and crane contractor in MA
Guys, All I am saying and from good sources as I am a 15 year Superintendent with Testa Corp and have 20 years with a previous Demolition Contractor.
Testa has an arsenal of over 50 excavators from mini's-too 7,PC1250's.The company is very capable to demolish Yankee Stadium and truly hit a Grand Slam.
The city is being careful after the debacle at Deutsche Bank. Breeze can only handle the job if Shea is finished. They are not big enough to do both at the same time. It will go to the lowest bidder as long as they are union, bondable, NYC-Approved, and have verifiable references/ completed projects.
No one is saying that they are not qualified. I said the packages for pre-qualification went in on 9/26/08 they were supposed to let everyone know where they stood on 10/10/08 - that day has come and passed and they are still trying to decide on just who to invite.
Breeze who is a NYC contractor is doing Shea and they are Vendex approved is my guess since they are very involved in local politics and Local 14 & 15.
