The Allegheny County Medical Examiner says a worker has died at a building demolition site in Penn Hills.
Sixty-four-year-old Yousef Maayah (MY'-uh) died of blunt force injuries to his chest and abdomen when he fell about 40 feet from a building he was helping to tear down.
Maayah died at the scene of the Atlas Cement Plant yesterday afternoon, but the medical examiner just released that information today.
County officials say Maayah last lived in Dearborn, Michigan, but that he was a recent immigrant to the United States.
The medical examiner has ruled the death an accident, but is releasing no other information. It was not immediately clear who the man was working for when he died.
