Tallassee, Alabama Police Chief Jimmy Rodgers said the victim was 62-year-old Elinor Dallas, a resident of Tallassee who was helping with the demolition of the structure.

Rodgers said the property owner was not using a company to demolish the house, but had hired people from within the community to help.
