That is ridiculous about the 1947 building. There might have been some point in saving the one built in 1915, but who knows. Crazy world.

The University of Southern Mississippi has been reprimanded by the state College Board for demolishing two buildings on the Hattiesburg campus without following proper protocol with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History.

Weathersby Hall, built in 1947, and the Industrial Arts/ROTC building, erected in 1915, was demolished in August, said Jim Woodrick, review and compliance officer with the MDAH.
