It's a mish mash of contractors on the bidders list. I was called by a German company. There are 2 other German companies,1 French, 4 Chinese, 2 Hong Kong Chinese, 2 Japanese, 3 South Korean and 1 Thai. I don't know how many are going to actually bid it, but the new owner is a big hotel chain.

Robert, that's the Ryugyong Hotel in Pyongyang North Korea isn't it. If I remember it is over 1000 feet tall and would have ben the sixth or seventh largest building in the world but the concrete was so crap it can't be used as is.
It was supposed to have seven revolving resturants and something like 3000 rooms. It's a political embarrasment for the North Korean government because it was built as a response to the constructoin of another large hotel by a South Korean company in Singapore in 1986.
Too bad, it would have been an impressive hotel.
It would be an impressive shot though...

It's still not working correctly. Do you think it would be better if I set up a photo album for my pictures of this building and just linked to it.. You wouldn't believe some of these pictures. It is a testament to bad concrete.

Robert,

You may want to resize the pictures. I have increased your photo upload sizes, but for some reason they are still to large.

I will be gone most of the morning, but let me know if you still have problems.

I have got a bunch of picture that I am trying to uplink but so far it's not working. Anyway......

no. of floors: 110 (When I first read it I thought it was a typo and they meant 11 until they sent me the pic. Then I almost crapped my pants Surprised)

height: 375 meters
sq. Footage: 4 million +/-

This is going to be one helluva takeoff.

The government just announced international tenders to demolish this building. It is a hotel that was built and never occupied. Once I get everything deciphered I will give you the stats.
