Be careful when viewing this segment on the Discovery Channel. They lead viewers to think the silos did not fall...they did and as planned!
The producer used the incorrect video format. They could not show the final reslut.
It also had input from people that should not have had input!

This "Thank-You" comes a little late, However I had not known of this web site. We at Advanced Explosives Demolition Inc would like to thank all of you for tunning in to the "Blaster Series" It is anticipated that Discovery will be doing a program that will follow us for a full year doing back scene's and what all goes on while on the project and on the road. " Lives of Blasters" we hope to have this completed and out sometime next year. So once again thanks for all your support!

Another good episode. Again it's nice to see new footage. I hope they continue the series or at least produce a couple more episodes.

James,
You have to watch out for that Tivo. One of my buddies had his girlfriend watch his house for him while he was on the road on a project. She liked to watch "Queer As Folk" and "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy" so his Tivo thought he was gay and downloaded every homosexually oriented show and movie out there Surprised Surprised and he couldn't figure out how to stop it.

To this day, he still says his "Tivo made him gay." :D :D

I also thought it was well done. It was nice to see new footage for once.

I remember hearing about the Advanced Explosives on the Greece job, it was tight spaced job, only about 15 feet from a new courthouse being constructed and had like only 50 feet of area to the north/northeast for silos could be felled, and the road they were showing couldn

So did anyone catch it last night? I had to record it and I will be watching it later today.

What are your thoughts so far?

I got a couple e-mails yesterday with some confusion about my post.

For some reason the first couple of episodes are going to "listed" under Extreme Engineering and then they will be changing the name to The Blasters. The show will be on tonight, its just called Extreme Engineering for now.

Hope that helps.

James

This should be great video, which includes Demo Cam footage. Depending on what they choose to use the shots will include cameras from inside, on top of, and close ups of building implosions. :)

DO you think they will be using old footage or are they going to go out and get some updated material. It seems that all of the most recent docs have had the same projects.

I'll watch it anyway, I just love to see structural failure!

Somebody just sent me an e-mail concerning this show. Tomorrow night (2/8) on the Discovery Channel they will be debuting a series which every week will highlight a blasting/implosion contractor. This should be interesting.
