Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is reportedly planning a massive renovation project at its 4 Sheraton properties in Waikiki that would include the demolition of parts of the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani.

The biggest piece of the plan is the demolition of the two low-rise wings at the Princess Kaiulani as well as the pool and stores fronting Kalakaua Avenue. Removing the wings and the retail and rearranging the pool area would make way for a new, 720-room tower
