The fate of Memorial Stadium is sealed.

Allen County, IN commissioners on Friday awarded a bid to Geiger Excavating to demolish the 16-year-old minor-league baseball park and replace it with more parking spaces.

The county will pay $1.3 million for the entire project, well below pre-bid estimates of $2.3 million, said C.J. Steigmeyer, chief financial officer for Memorial Coliseum.
