Here's a video that made it a little more interesting with cameras on the ball and inside the stadium.

The first few mechanical punches, accompanied at first by Bruce Springsteen's "Wrecking Ball" and then John Mellencamp's "Crumblin' Down," kicked up only little puffs of dust. Before long the fans, many of whom had been anticipating a more dramatic fall, began drifting away.
If it was my building I would have had it at night with fireworks off the roof choreographed to Kate Smiths God Bless America followed by 360 degree fire balls out of the windows (simular to the Dr Pepper building used in the movie Enemy of The State) set to the Rocky movie music, with a fade to black and no demolition. I think it would have been a more dramatic end to such an iconic building with so may local memories.
Thank god, for over a year now we have been hearing that it is coming down, and now it finally happened, Comcast have been making a big deal out of it. Now they are going to sell bricks from the spectrum for 40$. Whats next they are going to auction off the orange wrecking ball Geppert used? It seems like they are trying to make as much money as Comcast can by selling "memorabilia" from the spectrum.
I think it is more awesome using a wrecking ball then using pyrotechnics. Hearing the big Cummins diesel roaring, the ball hitting the building, one whack after another, rebar all over the place like spaghetti, and big piles of concrete.
