[FONT=Verdana]Allegany[/FONT][FONT=Verdana], NY[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] residents toasted each other with champagne Tuesday in front of the demolition site of two Main Street homes that had become the blight of the neighborhood. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]The houses, located at 18 and 22 Main St., had been occupied by 16 St. Bonaventure University students until school let out this spring.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]When neighbors learned that the landlord of the homes, Terry Benca, had sold the houses to the Kinley Corp. and will be replaced with upscale Victorian-style townhouses, they were elated. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]Sue and Joe Finn, who have lived next door to the homes for the past 25 years, decided to throw the champagne party as a way to thank Kinley Corp.[/FONT]
