Congrats to CDI for a nice looking shot. I heard there was a small delay due to a CSX train coming through.

What's left of the RCA Dome will be imploded Dec. 20.

The Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority announced the demolition date Wednesday

David Sease, spokesman for the authority, said the Saturday before Christmas was chosen because by then about half of the dome will have been torn down through traditional methods.

The implosion, he said, will be used to destroy the dome's upper seating level.

Additional details about the implosion and its specific time will be announced at a later date, Sease said

The dome's roof was deflated last month and will be used by Indy Parks and Recreation for pool umbrellas and park shelters

After the implosion, Sease said, crews will clear rubble from the site and prepare for the expansion of the Indiana Convention Center.
