It's a loser. If the tree huggers and greenies want so bad to save it, why don't they just buy it. I'm sure the developer will take the right offer.
This is another stupid case of the leaf lickers trying to interfere with a private property deal to build a big new house on the site. Whomever is planning to build themselves a 10,000 sq. foot house must have some pretty impressive fire power, so the hysterical preservation folks really don't have a chance.
Tell them to get real. Can you imagine what the heating bill is for that place?
