I had a feeling That Brandenburg would be involved because they are the only large plant liquidation contractor in the area.

Testa Corp. liquidated, dropped and processed the Linden, NJ GM plant in just 9 months in 2008. Also, there are a lot more companies out there that process large plants Hitachi...

Pennsylvania Railroad Steam Plant AKA Drexel shaft is slated for demolition on 7:30am on Sunday, November 8. I believe The Building will be teared down with demolition machines conventionally and I know the stack will be imploded by Controlled Demolition, Inc.

Not sure on the date, but yes Testa Corp. is the lead demolition contractor.

I have not yet been on-site but do plan on making it to the stack implosion and then the building demo.

Will keep let you know what transpires.

Thanks I thought Geppert Would have gotten the job or Brandenburg, cool to see Testa who is not from Philly do the demolition but then again I would like to see a Philly based job do the demolition.

When it comes to bidding any kind of job ,demolition or construction, geography is really not a factor these days it seems.

DemolitionPhotographer works for testa so maybe he might film the demolition or give us some information on the job.

Pennsylvania Railroad Steam Plant AKA Drexel shaft is slated for demolition on 7:30am on Sunday, November 8. I believe The Building will be teared down with demolition machines conventionally and I know the stack will be imploded by Controlled Demolition, Inc. It is located North of Market st And N 30 st in Amtrak's train yard. Right now there is a crane their now preping the building for demolition. I have no clue on who the general demolition contractor is, and there is no major News website featuring any information about this building so I will try to keep the forum updated with more information I can gather.

Here is a picture of the building from skyscrapersunset.com
