Burning polystyrene set alight during demolition works was the cause of huge blaze on the site of the Olympic Park in Stratford last week, an Olympic Delivery Authority report has revealed.
The fire, which the ODA concluded was an accident, was said to have started when insulation material in a wall cavity ignited while demolition workers were cutting steel piping with an oxy-acetylene torch.
