[FONT=Verdana]Norton Healthcare plans to demolish three older buildings and add 10 floors of parking and office space to a garage. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]Norton officials say the changes will also include new landscaping and green space that will replace the aging buildings, which are about 50 years old. Besides the parking and office space, Norton officials hope to eventually add a clinical building to its downtown complex. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]The buildings to be demolished include Medical Towers North and South and the building that used to house the children's hospital.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]Demolition won't get started until next February. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]The project, which Norton's board of trustees approved this month, will cost about 24 million dollars. [/FONT]
