Winona Excavating is back in the business of tearing things down.
The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency announced Monday that the Winona company has completed the terms of a year-long suspension and settled a penalty, clearing it to return to demolition work.
In August 2006, the MCPA fined Winona Excavating $100,000 for unlicensed demolition work and for submitting false information to the MPCA. The fine came after the agency discovered that Winona Excavating, which had been ordered in 2002 to cease demolition work, had set up a front company called
