His name has been released, he was Howard Brown.

Brown worked for I.T.C. International, of Garden Grove, Calif., taking down a building at the former Commonwealth Steel Co. mill, later owned by the Granite City Pickling & Warehouse Inc.

A 58-year-old man was killed this morning after falling from a cherry picker at a demolition site.

Granite City, IL Police have not released the name of the man, who was working with a demolition crew at an vacant industrial building off 16th Street.

Major Jeff Connor said it appears the man was struck by a steel beam and fell an estimated 20 feet. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
