Why can't we all be friends? James has built a wonderful site for us. Let's keep it that way. Now kiss and make up. Well, at least shake hands . . . and fight it out back channel, if you must.
Let's all have a beer and toast James' great work in creating this site for all of us. Let's use it to our advantage.
Now, go wreck some buildings.
David and Jr...
This is a nice site and I think James has done a remarkable job in trying to keep the BS down and professionalism in while promoting the Industry in general....
We,..... I'm sorry..."The Industry" know who the blow hards are and the forum members will keep them in check as referenced in your posts and past issues that have arisen....
Jr...I agree...It is good to hear from an owner once in awhile, and by the way while we are sharing ideas.......... I'll have a tea.......
Thanks, John. I've been ignoring this for a while but I've had enough. This site is very nice but its drawbacks are that these guys can come on anonymously and free. Some of them treat the site like crazies act a rest area on the interstate. If you had to pay something, and had to be accountable for what you said about people [you know, like in real life], this would be a great place for us to share ideas.
Buy you that beer any time, and I hope all is well with your biz and family.
David
Excuse me, Josh Davis, I mean Turbo21835, your facts are totally out of line.
MCM has not been removed from either of the bidders lists you mentioned in your blurb. We once wrote Delphi a letter and removed ourselves from their list and there is nothing about GM that says we are not bidding there. Gossip is fine, but be prepared to back up what you say.
I was sorry that we laid you off, but I think our supervisors were right about you. Josh, all you ever ran for us was a 320 and you weren't real good at that.
Remember the new Cobalt you bought with $1,000 of MCM's money? Try that wherever you're working now.
As far as hating working here, it's funny that none of you quit, but after you're let go you have so much to say. Get your facts straight, to the best of your ability. Any maybe, do your postings with your real name. It will do a lot for your self respect.
Let me know if you ever need a job reference, big fella. And try using your real name when you want to be a loudmouth.
This website started so well, a place for demo professionals to talk real issues. It's turning into the corner bar without the beer. There goes the neighborhood.

Nice to see!!! Looks like North American Dismantling high reach and other equipment. If it is... I am sure it has something to do with the way the previous contractor handled himself. Anyway, I am glad to see another lost cause bite it! Lets keep on rolling and build it up Detroit!
Well put, Mike. It's good to see another lost cause bite the dust. How long will it take to get the last part of the stadium on the ground?
Anybody got new pictures of it? Maybe that old rundown train station won't be far behind. Nice to see Motown getting its act together.
What's happening with that project?

The demolition of Tiger Stadium has resumed a few hours after a judge refused to stop it.
Crews used a backhoe to tear away chunks of the upper deck along the third base line.
Dozens of onlookers gathered outside the old ballpark in Detroit to witness the destruction as it got back under way around 1:50 p.m. on Monday
Earlier Monday, a Wayne County judge rejected a request by the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy to issue a preliminary injunction preventing further demolition of the stadium. He also lifted a temporary restraining order issued Friday afternoon that halted work begun just hours earlier.
Tiger Stadium opened in 1912 as Navin Field. The Tigers departed for Comerica Park after the 1999 season.
THIS IS A BREAKING NEWS UPDATE. Check back soon for further information. AP's earlier story is below.
DETROIT (AP)
What remains of Tiger Stadium was down to its last swings of demolition, but a temporary restraining order was handed down Friday to halt the final stages of knocking it down, at least for now.
Wayne County Circuit Judge Isidore Torres issued the order, which was requested by the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy, a nonprofit group.
Most of the park was leveled last year, and Detroit's Economic Development Corp. board on Tuesday voted 7-1 to demolish the remaining section of the stadium still standing, rejecting the conservancy's $33.4 million plan to redevelop the site because of a lack of funding.
A hearing on the order will be held today before Wayne County Circuit Judge Prentis Edwards.

So let me get this now, they are paying more to have less of the stadium remain? How bizarre. I thought they were planning a park and a playing field around the old home plate portion that they were keeping. Seems like the city just got tired of waiting for the hysterical preservationists to raise their money.
