The lengthy demolition process has stirred up rumors among residents about why the second tower still stands almost three weeks after the first stack was dismantled. One rumor suggests exotic birds inhabit the top of the second stack, but Jeff McGlin of AIM Demolition USA says such stories are untrue.

Montreal-based scrap metal specialist American Iron & Metal Co., owner of the mill site, is taking down the village
