Also this week the Bush Administration is reinstating the Davis Bacon Prevailing Wage Act for all the federal funding projects.
I was talking with a contractor out of alabama about the clean up contracts and he said they are paying $6.oo a cuyd in the truck. For that $6.00 you have to provide the truck, driver, wheel loader, operator and fuel. The dump is 15 to 20 miles from where you are working, they pay the tipping fee's. No payment for mobilization. Anybody have any thoughts on this?
