CDI had planned initially to touch off the explosives shortly before 8 a.m., but dense fog delayed the series of blasts until 11:15 a.m.

The 60-year-old building will come tumbling down on the morning of January 8th when The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center implodes the Houston Main Building.
The 18-story structure was built in 1952 for Prudential Insurance Co. and was acquired nearly 10 years ago by the local health care provider.
The implosion is expected to happen at around 7:52 a.m.
CDI is the implosion contractor.
