Many people in Flint, Mich. say they're excited by house demolitions.
That's because of the blight that abandoned buildings spread in their neighborhoods.
This week, the Genesee County Land Bank reached a milestone when it tore down its 500th building.
The Flint house demolished Monday had been the bane of its neighborhood for the past four years.
Resident Sharon Evans says she started crying with joy when she heard of plans for the demolition.
The 500 demolitions have been in Flint and other area communities.
