First Baptist Church of Dallas plans to implode four of its older buildings Oct. 30 to make space for construction of a new worship center and more.

The church will demolish its Burt, Christian Education, Ruth Ray Hunt and Veal buildings.

They are within San Jacinto, St. Paul, Federal and Ervay streets.

The buildings will fall in sequence in a matter of seconds that Saturday morning, said John Grable, minister of communications.
