The Ogle County Solid Waste Management Department is encouraging OgleCounty construction and remodeling contractors, excavators, fire department personnel, demolition contractors and other interested people to attend the Environmental Regulatory Workshop for the Construction and Demolition Industry March 16 in Rockford. The Ogle County Solid Waste Management Department will reimburse the registration fee for contractors and other participants from OgleCounty who attend the meeting. The reimbursable $25 registration fee includes lunch. Only one registration per company/corporation/fire department/etc. will be reimbursed.
Experts from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, Illinois Department of Public Health, Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, and Illinois Emergency Management Agency will present topics such as asbestos regulatory requirements for remodeling or demolition of property, lead-based paint requirements when remodeling, radon reduction systems, construction and demolition debris regulations, indoor mold issues, stormwater management at construction sites, OSHA requirements and others.
The workshop will be offered on March 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at RockValleyCollegeWoodwardTechnologyCenter, Room 117-121, 3301 N. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL61114-5640. Those interested should call the Ogle County Solid Waste Management Department at (815) 732-4020, to obtain registration information. Deadline to register is March 9.
