[font=Arial]Vinton Construction has started demolition of the building that once housed Eggers Industries, on the banks of the [/font][font=Arial]East[/font][font=Arial] [/font][font=Arial]Twin[/font][font=Arial] [/font][font=Arial]River[/font][font=Arial] in [/font][font=Arial]Two Rivers,[/font][font=Arial] [/font][font=Arial]Wisconsin[/font][font=Arial]. [/font]

[font=Arial]Investigation into reuse for the 270,000 square foot structure yielded no results. The structure dates back to 1890.[/font]

[font=Arial]"Rather than leaving the building vacant, we thought the best thing for the community was to take down the building and hold the vacant land," said Mary Streu, company vice president of operations. [/font]

[font=Arial]The project cleans up a desirable development site, which is literally two city blocks in size and has 660 feet of river frontage. The river depth is 10 feet at that location.[/font]

[font=Arial]Eggers moved to a new $21 million facility on State Highway 42, across from [/font][font=Arial]Two[/font][font=Arial] [/font][font=Arial]Rivers[/font][font=Arial] [/font][font=Arial]High School[/font][font=Arial], in September 2004. [/font]

[font=Arial]Vinton Construction is self performing the demolition. [/font]
