
[FONT=Verdana]Fans will have one last chance to view the historical Tiger stadium in its entirety this week.[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]Crews have begun taking apart pieces of the stadium and moving them to the Detroit Historical Society for preservation.[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]Thousands of items from the ballpark were auctioned off to help pay for demolition and redevelopment of the site located at Michigan Avenue and Trumbull Street.[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]Those items will be delivered or picked up by the successful bidders shortly.[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]The Detroit City Council approved demolition of the stadium last month.[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]Hall of fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell joined the nonprofit group called the Old Tiger Stadium Conservancy and has submitted his plans for saving part of the stadium.[/FONT]
