[FONT=Verdana]Heavy rains caused the Turkey and Volga rivers to flood Elkport and Garber in May of 2004. Altogether, 28 properties in Elkport and 7 in Garber will be torn down under a government buyout program. The first round of demolition is scheduled to start during the last week of August and should be finished by November.[/FONT]
