Demolition is being postponed on two properties in Wichita, KS downtown arena footprint because of unforeseen issues with one of the permits, according to Kristi Zukovich, Sedgwick County spokeswoman.

She said one of the permits was old.

Sites scheduled for demolition were 302 S. Emporia and 337 S. St. Francis. Equipment was moved into the area.

The county is separating the demolition work into multiple contracts and will likely lump this first group's demolition with another group's start date, Zukovich said.

"It doesn't delay the demolition project," she said.
