[FONT=Verdana]Williamsport[/FONT][FONT=Verdana], [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]PA[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] City Council will be asked to award a contract for demolition of the Beiter block properties when it meets Thursday night.

The structures are just west of [/FONT][FONT=Verdana]Hepburn Street[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana] between West Fourth and West Edwin streets and must come down to make room for a proposed multi-screen movie theater.

The $872,339 contract is more than $100,000 higher than engineers
