
Owners of a Holland, MI demolition company were indicted last week on allegations that they ignored regulations for properly disposing of materials containing asbestos, after they were contracted to demolish a kiln-drying building in January 2005.
Federal court documents state that Scott Tucker, president and owner of H & M Demolition, knew roof panels at VKW Hardwoods in Wyoming were covered in asbestos, but he ordered employees to tear them down. The panels were smashed into small pieces.
