Two down and one to go. This past week, demolition began at the Staber Meat Company and Central Kitchen Supply building. Now both businesses are nothing but rubble.
The last building left, is the old Palmer Candy Shop. The demolition of the buildings is to make room for the Stoney Creek Inn.
Anne Westra, Economic Development Specialist says, "We're excited about new projects... Stoney Creek Inn coming and that will probably get underway here shortly in the next few months you'll see a lot of progress."
The old Palmer Candy Shop will be demolished, next week. They'll save the Palmer concrete blocks from the top of the building.
The three pieces weigh 600 pounds each, and construction workers will use a crane to safely take them down.[/FONT]
