[FONT=Verdana]Demolition crews began preparations Wednesday morning to tear down the Emmons apartment complex in Huntington, WV. The actual demolition started late in the afternoon.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]Back on January 13, a massive fire in the Emmons Jr. building killed 9 people and injured dozes of other residents. The Emmons Sr. building suffered extensive water & smoke damage.[/FONT]

On Wednesday, crews began assembling a crane that will be used to tear down the 2 buildings.

[FONT=Verdana]The demolition work is expected to last more than a month. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]Drivers in Huntington are also being affected by the demolition.

[FONT=Verdana]Master Mechanical is doing the demolition work. This is same company that is currently tearing down Cammack Middle & Elementary Schools in Huntington. [/FONT]
