[FONT=Verdana]Three roommates who were demolishing a large concrete form in a yard at a North Park home discovered a body inside, believed that of an 80-year-old Hemet man who disappeared in May, authorities said.[/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]The man had been asphyxiated, then folded into a sitting position, his knees drawn up, and encased in plastic and concrete. [/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]San Diego[/FONT][FONT=Verdana] resident Thomas Jeffrey Brooks, 39, was arrested Aug. 8 in La Jolla on suspicion of killing Edward Clayton Andrews. Riverside County sheriff's investigators had collected evidence over the summer, and made the arrest, but had no body until Friday, Riverside homicide unit Sgt. Dean Spivacke said Tuesday. [/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]In early June, an acquaintance asked Brooks to do some landscaping work at his rented home on Alabama Street in North Park, Spivacke said. [/FONT]
[FONT=Verdana]Friday afternoon, the tenant and his two roommates decided to demolish an egg-shaped concrete form Brooks reportedly had left on the property. They had found it in a woodsy area on the far end of the large parcel, away from the house. [/FONT]
