The demolition of the Executive Inn parking garage in Downtown Evansville, IN will be delayed another three weeks so Verizon can remove its cell towers.
The parking structure is standing in the way of a Hyatt Park Place hotel that will replace the Executive Inn across Walnut Street.
Hotel developer Martin Woodruff said the parking structure originally was scheduled to be demolished last week to make room for the 220-room hotel.
AT&T also had cell towers on the structure.
"AT&T had theirs removed a couple weeks ago, and they were told the same time as Verizon," Woodruff said. "Verizon has yet to even attempt to get them down. "I'm very disappointed."
Klenck Company is doing the demolition.
