[FONT=Verdana]"You see in the paper that it's closing down. I went to the last party. And now, you know, watching it being torn down, that you realize that it's over. It's done. The wave is no more, no longer at the edge of Waikiki," Mike G. said.[/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]The Wave and a nearby apartment building are being demolished to make way for a new, 35-story luxury condominium. The Chicago-based real estate developer said construction should begin early next year.[/FONT][FONT=Verdana][/FONT]
