Aiken, SC County Council has unanimously approved a contract for asbestos cleanup and demolition at the 26-acre Seminole Mills site in Clearwater.

Awarding the contract to NEO Corporation was on the Council's Tuesday consent agenda.

In May, the Environmental Protection Agency announced it had awarded two grants to Aiken County totaling $400,000
