I was working on a project in a copper mine in South America last summer. They were working 3 shifts trying to get as much copper production as they could. Their cost to get it out of the ground was -8 cents a lb because of the other recoverable minerals attached to it. The only problem was that they ran into a tire shortage for their prime movers. We had to work smack dab in the middle of everything without disrupting their production operations.

Copper is shooting up again today to a new high.

Copper good!

I put myself through my sophmore and junior years of college by cleaning electric motors for copper. I get happy when nonferrous goes up. I haven't had any to speak of lately either, though.

It's amazing. I think all metals are just going to keep rising and rising. To bad I haven't looked at a job lately thats had some significant copper on it.

Copper hit a new high today. It hit $2.38 per pound. Being in this business this is one of the nice things you like to see. Copper has gone up steadily for a year so you should make a lot of money if you bid projects containing any copper in the last year.
It sure is a lot better than the converse. :D
