Demolition crews accidentally started a fire Tuesday afternoon at a shopping center in Norton Shores, MI.

Sparks from a cutting torch ignited roofing materials at the Lakeshore Market Place.

Roofing material and insulation caught fire and sent thick smoke into the air.

The smoke did enter the nearby Hobby Lobby Store but no one was injured.

A ticket will likely be issued to the company handling the demolition.

Norton Shores Fire Marshal Norm Hosko says, "When they are doing demolition they are suppose to have someone standing by with a fire extinguisher just in case something like this were to happen."

Besides a ticket, the company will also likely have to pick up the cost of putting the fire out.
