[FONT=Verdana]The Department of Energy has been cleaning it up and tearing down some buildings to make room for a private industrial park. Work began in 1996 and it's still ongoing. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]The K-25 building is vacant and in disrepair. It was built during World War II as part of the Manhattan Project to build bombs. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]The Community Reuse Organization of East Tennessee is in charge of finding companies to relocate to the park. Currently 25 companies are tenants. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]K-25 is the name of one building on the site and the name for the entire 1500 acres that includes many buildings. [/FONT]

[FONT=Verdana]The K-25 building is slated to be torn down next year. [/FONT]
