ONE of the most architecturally interesting and prominent structures in Driffield, UK is set to be demolished tomorrow (Tuesday November 21).
Bulldozers have spent the past few weeks demolishing the former Sugar Mills on Anderson Street following the partial collapse of the roof.
Today (Monday) demolition men were preparing the chimney for coming down tomorrow.
An historic clock tower was one of the first notable features to disappear.
And demolition experts say that the chimney is set to come down on Monday.
The Sugar Mills was built in 1862 by the Driffield and East Riding Pure Linseed Cake Company.
The Linseed Cake Company ceased trading in 1947 and the mill was bought by Whites, a Hull sugar firm.
