Absolutely chilling. Wow. It's hard to wrap your mind around just how globally impactive Chernyobl still is.
Thanks for that link, Robert.

If you are interested, this is a pretty somber view of Chernobyl. It's the website of "Gamma Girl", a woman who managed to get around the guards and tour the site on her motorcycle. In May they are going to be blasting 9 highrises that were used to house the workers. Click on the Chernobyl link.

Robert, there was a good photo article on Chernobyl in last months National Geographic. There were a few good shots of the containment dome and one of the actual control room. Pretty interesting stuff.

This is an interesting article about the current decomissioning project at Chernobyl. It's amazing that the containment is so big they had to worry about "internal weather patterns"
I am heading to the International Conference on Lessons Learned In Nuclear Decomissioning meeting later this year in Athens and am looking forward to hearing their presentation.
