Each bid regarding the demolition of the old municipal building which was destroyed by a fire last month contained a lump sum estimate and an alternate estimate. The town will be reviewing each bid in order to select the best bid which meets the criteria for the lowest cost.

The bids including a lump sum and an alternate sum were as follows:

Bowman and Sons Construction Inc.- $328,000 and $32,962
E Luke Green Company- $91,620 and $4,800
J&L Construction Contractors- $176,825 and $85,000
Mitch Contracting Company Inc.- $70,620 and $7,500
DH Griffin Wrecking Company- $58,777 and $21,777

I'm not sure what the alternate entailed, I'm hoping someone knows, I think most of the companies are members here.
