Beacon Redevelopment Industrial Corporation Updates Shareholders as to Westmoreland Glass Factory

The following press release is all over the wires. I actually spoke with the ATC consultant and he stated that Adam "appears to be serious about moving forward." They will be delayed from providing testing due to some weather related issues at this point. I still stand by all my previous comments with reagrd to this project[They are under Milton007 - I had trouble getting back into that account and had to recreate my profile under John Milton]

NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa., Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Beacon Redevelopment Industrial Corporation (Pink Sheets: BCND) issues the following update to shareholders as to the progress of the Westmoreland Glass Factory project in Grapeville, Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania.

Last week, representatives of Renaissance Renovations and Redevelopment LLC ("RR&R") met with agents of ATC Associates at the site with respect to obtaining the environmental survey and other environmental considerations. All parties agreed that the current weather conditions impair the ability to immediately take soil samples necessary to proceed.

"We want to salvage the antique brick as quickly as possible, we need to have the proper surveys to proceed. As soon as the ground thaws, we will be moving forward with all required studies and surveys," said Gary Blackburn, special contracting consultant to RR&R.

BCND also wishes to correct and clarify its prior press release regarding the permitting process. While the company submitted the necessary documents to RR&R to file the application, it was determined by RR&R that submitting a demolition permit application to Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania, would be premature as said application requires specific details as to the contractor who would actually be doing the work.

"We cannot finalize contracts with all of our subcontractors until we know where we are as to the environmental survey," Mr. Blackburn explained. BCND believes that this matter is non-material to the company as on December 19, 2006, Hempfield Township officials specifically directed the owners to demolish the building. "We are all on the same page, the glass factory must be taken down as soon as profitability practicable, and we plan on doing such and moving forward," explained Adam Marek, President of Beacon Redevelopment Industrial Corporation.

The company will continue to keep shareholders and the public updated as more information develops.

I really hope it is not a scam but it does not look good in my eyes. Everyone has know about the gas wells that is why the site was choosen in 1898 and the factory was built. If this is a scam then once again western Pa. takes another punch to the stomach small compared to ones taken starting in the early 80's to middle 90's. Doing that time I walked so many sites like this one and seen state and fed. money just disappear into pockets and nothing to show for it. If that site is not leveled soon we all will read about some kids killed playing in there.

He hasn't got 1 penny. Both companies are owned by the same entity. So they are just putting out press releases. There is not that amount of salvage of brick or steel. Gas wells are few and far between and take millions in exploration to find an active vein.

I walked that site 17 years ago then again 10 years ago and once again 5 years ago so many people have had big dreams for that site. As far as the salvage goes they say they may have been a little optimistic on the value is a understatment. I would love to see the site leveled because it is a eyesore and a danger to the area.

We put a price on the Demo in 1991 of $475,000.00 and was in the thrick of things when the money did not come thru for the developer.

Hempfield TWP. put out feelers for budget numbers in 2006 for the demo they were going to take it on themselfs.

Westmoreland Warehouse & Industrial Buildings Inc. have owned the site since 1986 two years after the factory closed its doors and every few years they were talking to demo contractors.

Then in 2008 someone buys the site and gets someone to pay them 6 mil for the salvage and finds gas wells on the site. All the developers over the years and the Township and Westmoreland Warehouse & Industrail Buildings Inc. must feel pretty stupid right now I would think.......

Dig and Nuke, I entirely agree. Given the "investor" aspect - stating that "the Right hand just sold it to the Left hand" is right on. I would add "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark".

Buying that job for six million dollars is totally unbelievable to me. I dont believe the company will ever show up to start the work. Its owned by a bunch of investors?? This is probably some stock fixing scheme at a minimum.

To say that I am stunned would be a gross understatement. I am most curious to see how this moves forward. If you search the online news wires, Beacon has once again covered their bases blitzing the press

Greetings All -

I have never posted here but often visit to check in on what is up; I appreciate such a forum for our industry.

I have been in contact with Adam since this most interesting project evolved. First off, the amount of press he has generated through a variety of news sources is amazing. That being said, he had claimed to me on the phone that the site valuations of brick and steel were overstated

Blah Blah Blah,,,,,

Please dont post anymore of those phony press releases!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who is this Adam Marek Guy, he looks like he is 19. I dont believe his mumbo jumbo about improving stockholder value and such. That Beacon has Scam written all over it, What is he going to improve value to .0006 cents. Woooo Hooooo,

You watch, Beacon will be Bankrupt, someone will have run off with all the money, and i will bet there will be a big batch of unpaid Contractors with liens all over the property. I have been a demolition contractor in the Midwest for 15 years, and my partner has been one for 40 years. This guy is full of bologni.
