Austin Energy, which is a utility for the city of Austin, Texas, has hired TRC Companies Incorporated out of Lowell, Massachusetts to dismantle and demolish the four-unit, 540-megawatt (MW) natural gas and oil-fired Holly Street Power Station in Austin. The station was closed between 2004 and 2007. Holly Street's first unit commenced commercial operations in 1960, and the last unit became operational in 1974.
