The trial has nothing to do with football. But an asbestos-related trial in New Orleans is being delayed because of the N-F-L playoffs.

With the New Orleans Saints in the N-F-C Championship game against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, the judge says it might be impossible to put together a jury on Monday.

So Orleans Parish Civil District Judge Ernest Jones signed a defense motion to delay the trial until Wednesday.

Jones says the action will accommodate fans, including what he calls the great majority of the jury pool, and the counsel and parties involved in the case.
The plaintiffs seek damages from Avondale Industries Incorporated and five other companies.
