A Buffalo man who was fired from an asbestos-removal company is accused of shooting his former boss at a school demolition site.
Police in the town of Tonawanda say 52-year-old Frederick Bell was taken into custody yesterday after the shooting inside the former Jane Addams Elementary School. The victim was in surgery last night at Erie County Medical Center.
The victim's name wasn't released. He was described by police as a 55-year-old supervisor for Peerless Environmental Control of Orchard Park. Police say he was shot several times in the upper torso and stomach by a high-powered rifle.
Police say Bell was angry that he had been fired the day before and came back to shoot his boss. Bell was arrested at his Buffalo home.
