ARSI, an environmental and demolition contractor based in Jefferson City, was awarded the contract for abatement of asbestos and other hazardous materials at the site of the former state penitentiary.

The company is responsible for removal of hazardous materials from six buildings at the former prison site and will perform its work as a subcontractor to Ahrens Contracting of St. Louis.
