The No. 4 boiler at the former Albany Paper Mill in Albany Oregon was imploded today by Advanced Explosives Demolition.

The boiler was built about 42 years ago. International Paper bought the mill March 2008 as part of its $6 billion purchase of Weyerhaeuser's containerboard division. The company shut the doors the following December, citing the recession, overcapacity and the plunge in demand.
